
"I read with interest the story and comments regarding 2010 Fifa World Cup/Alex Hewitt of AOK events. Unfortunately as his company has no official status at this event his comments are unsurprising and furthermore incorrect," said Goodwin.
"Match Hospitality [the official hopsitality provider] has not dropped its prices. There is plenty of accommodation if you deal with the appointed operators."
Walker warned clients against using unofficial hospitality providers.
"This case highlights the dangers to fans and businesses opting for unofficial FIFA World Cup packages," he said.
"Fans should be reassured that booking packages through one of the five official British Tour operators licensed by FIFA ensures they will not be charged these kind of extortionate prices for official match tickets and accommodation.
"South Africa has invested over £2 billion in infrastructure ahead of the tournament, with transport, communications and security high on the agenda, and South Africans have a genuine passion for football. These ingredients mean the 2010 FIFA World Cup is shaping up to be a great competition both on and off the pitch."
