COI hunts agencies for two digital briefs

COI is talking to digital agencies on briefs for the Home Office/Department of Health's Frank drugs initiative and for the National Blood Service.

The National Blood Service is seeking an agency to handle its online communications as part of its ongoing blood donation campaign. It has shortlisted Dare and DLKW Dialogue for the task.

The service has not been a major spender on digital, although it has a website (www.blood.co.uk) and has used e-mail marketing to recruit new donors.

The Frank brief involves the design of a website to support online advertising, created by Profero. The online ads have run in conjunction with above-the-line work from Mother. COI is understood to have briefed six agencies.

COI has yet to conclude its digital creative agency roster review, which kicked off in May 2005. The current roster contains 15 agencies, including, Dare, glue London, Wheel, EHS Brann and Euro RSCG.

The new line-up will be divided into four categories: digital strategy; digital design, development and delivery; specialist digital media solutions; and user experience evaluation and analytics.
