Clarion Events has praised a "win-win" scenario after its subsidiary, Amusement Trades, sold its three gaming publications to Gaming Business Media.

Clarion Gaming Exhibitions managing director, Julian Graves told Event that the magazines were acquired four years ago as part of a legacy and had no use to the event organiser's core business.

"It's good business for us and good for them [Gaming Business Media] because the magazines are now in the hands of the right people," he said. "We now have a strategic alliance with the publisher so our relationship will continue. It's win-win."
