The event, in conjunction with My Family Care - an agency which works with companies who provide work and family solutions - is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors and will take place alongside The Baby Show.

It has been designed to give businesses the opportunity to showcase their family-friendly ethos, mix with likeminded brands and speak directly to experienced candidates looking to return to work.

It will be divided into zones focusing on recruitment and employers; career advice and personal development; image, style and media resources; family services; enablers and networking; and franchise, self-employment and start-up business.

The show will consist of a main debate stage, theatres, workshops and networking facilities, as well as a crèche and family-friendly zone.

Guardian Jobs will be the headline sponsor while Sky has confirmed its sponsorship of The Sky Broadband Networking and Community Cafe.

Working Families, a charity that helps working parents and carers find a healthy work-life balance, are the show’s official charity, and representatives of the Women’s Business Council - set up by the government to maximise women’s contribution to the economy - will also be speaking at the event.

Nicole Muller, portfolio director of Clarion Events, said: "There is a real demand for an event of this kind. We will give recruiters the opportunity to meet experienced, motivated and high-level candidates looking to return to work, but we will also provide help and advice to HR departments looking for guidance on flexible working and how best to support their workforce."
