Cities chosen for England 2018 World Cup bid venues

Four London venues have been selected for England's 2018 football World Cup bid as today (Wednesday 16 December) the FA finalised its 12 host cities.

Sunderland, Birmingham, Nottingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Bristol, Plymouth, Milton Keynes and Manchester will also be involved in the bid.

Wembley Stadium, London's Olympic Stadium, Arsenal's Emirates and the new , if it is built, are the London venues. But a choice will be made by FIFA (in 2013 if England are successful at bid stage) between Tottenham's new ground and the Olympic stadium.

Milton Keynes, , did not even exist when England last hosted (and won) the World Cup in 1966.
