LONDON - Cisco Systems, the internet hardware company, is set to review its estimated £15 million media planning and buying and direct marketing business across Europe.

Ogilvy Group currently handles the media and below-the-line marketing business, including digital and direct marketing for Cisco in the UK and other European markets.

The account is run by OgilvyOne and Ogilvy’s media planning and buying arm, Neo.

It is understood that the pan-European review will not necessarily result in a consolidation as individual markets will be given some autonomy in the process.

Cisco Systems provides the network technology to transfer data, voice and video around the world on the internet. Last week it announced a move into the server market, to compete with Dell, IBM and HP.

Last April, Telegraph Media Group signed a six-figure deal with Cisco for a multimedia ad campaign promoting Cisco’s communications clinics across the country.
