Cisco beats forecasts as internet continues to drive profits

The internet continues to drive Cisco Systems, which has reported a 69% year-on-year rise in profits for the fourth quarter with sales rising 61% to $5.72bn.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – The internet continues to drive Cisco Systems, which has reported a 69% year-on-year rise in profits for the fourth quarter with sales rising 61% to $5.72bn.

The company, which is the world’s largest manufacturer of computer networking equipment, beat the consensus forecasts of 15 cents a share by one cent.

This is the 10th quarter that the company has seen year-on-year growth in sales which have been driven by the growth of the internet.
