The west London venue's revamp is planned to be ready for the 2012 Olympics and take advantage of the swathe of events guaranteed to hit the capital.

The Ireland-based Moran Hotel Group owns and operates hotels in Dublin, Cork and north London.

The extension will see the addition of 81 bedrooms – bringing the total up to 200 – 16 extra meeting rooms, a banqueting facility that will cater for up to 300 people, support areas and additional underground parking for 90 cars.
