An editorial team will work across online and print to integrate the content from with its first branded monthly print magazine, 4homes, which will launch on March 2.
The magazine, which will cover interiors, gardens, furniture and trends and a healthy lifestyle, will create cross-platform advertising opportunities. The first issue features Kevin McCloud, who hosts Channel 4's 'Grand Designs'.
It is part of an overall aim for the broadcaster to create multi-channel brands with content to run across magazines, online, consumer events and TV.
There are plans to turn magazine content into podcasts. The website will be promoted in the magazine and vice versa.
Rod Henwood, new-business director for Channel 4, said: "Channel 4 has ambitious goals to extend its brand beyond television into other media, both established and new. 4homes will reflect Channel 4's character and style which is completely unique -- modern, stylish and not too serious minded."
The magazine 4homes will be priced at £3, and will be published by Media 10, which will also manage advertising sales for the title.
