
Earlier this year, Eye won the outdoor media contracts for London Stansted and London Gatwick after a protracted pitch process. The incumbent at both airports was JCDecaux.
In his new role, Melis will be charged with refining the Eye sell as part of the company’s long-term strategy to drive the airport medium to a new position, alongside other more mainstream media channels.
Cutter will be responsible for leading the London sales team and its relationships with clients and agencies. He will report to John Rankin, general manager of Eye UK.
Prior to to lead the sales of CBS Outdoor’s retail portfolio at Westfield London in 2008, Cutter worked at Metro UK as head of business development.
Rankin said: "Inigo’s expertise will be given a broader reach across the company, and Lee brings with him a new perspective that will be valuable for the business going forward."
Eye has also made two further appointments. Mark Kaye has joined as client sales manager from CBS Outdoor where he was international account manager, and Hugo Clarke has joined as senior sales executive from JCDecaux.
In addition to Stansted and Gatwick, Eye has the outdoor ad contracts for Manchester Airport, Belfast Airport, East Midlands Airport, Bournemouth Airport, Cardiff Airport and Humberside Airport, which, a spokesman said, represents 40% of the market.
