The campaign, which was devised by TDA, urges the public to donate £3 a month to ensure the charity can continue to re-house cats made homeless. The ads also aim to encourage viewers to choose cats from the charity's adoption centres.
The spots highlight how the charity finds homes for around 60,000 cats every year and never puts down a healthy cat. However, Cats Protection also warns that many homeless cats do not survive the daily dangers they face.
Janet Wickens, head of fundraising and communications at Cats Protection, said: "[The ads] cut straight to the chase and show viewers some of the heartbreaking situations we witness on a daily basis.
"Cats Protection can help more cats get the happy ending they deserve - around 60,000 are rehomed by us every year - but we rely on voluntary donations to make a difference."
Cats Protection, formerly Cats Protection League, was founded in 1929 and currently has 29 adoption centres across the UK, and 261 voluntary branches.
TDA also handles direct marketing accounts for The Guide Dogs for the Blind, Oxfam, Save The Children and Kings College Hospital.
