Capital wins deal to promote Pirates of the Caribbean DVD

LONDON - The DVD release of 'Pirates of the Caribbean 3' is to be promoted in a six-figure sponsorship deal with Capital 95.8, including a stunt on board a pirate ship at St Katharine Docks in London.

The campaign launches on Thursday, ahead of the release of 'Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End' on November 19. It starts with trailers and live reads during Johnny Vaughan's breakfast show, and the promotion will continue over the weekend.

The cornerstone is to be the 'Ship Load of Cash' stunt, whereby a treasure chest of cash will be given away to a listener who can guess the value of the prize.

There will also be activity on the Capitalradio.com .

The campaign was conceived and negotiated by GCap Media's Hannah Freeman and Lenny George, and Judi Philo of Carat Sponsorship, on behalf of Walt Disney Studio Home Entertainment.
