Capital FM partners with Royal Mail for charity campaign

The campaign aims to raise money for charity by encouraging consumers to send their old mobile phones, cameras and Mp3 players in an envelope to the Royal Mail Head Office where they will be recycled. The sender can then either claim money back from the recycled items or donate it to one of five charities.

The week-long campaign will be promoted on the Capital breakfast show hosted by Johnny and Lisa.

The partnership will involve online and on air activity including a daily competition which will encourage callers to ring in to the show where they’ll win an envelope containing a different mystery prize ranging from a holiday to a shoe laces.

The 95.8 Capital FM street team will also be out in various locations throughout the capital during the week distributing envelopes to Londoners randomly. The five figure deal was secured was by OMD.
