Canter leaves MPG after eight years for own venture

LONDON - After eight years with Media Planning Group, Andrew Canter, its head of client services, is leaving the agency.

Canter, a former MPG broadcast director, is leaving to launch his own branded content venture, specialising on the broadcast market.

Canter said: "I genuinely believe that branded content is at the beginning of a wave and moving higher up the marketing agenda. With the advent and development of new technology, such as personal video recorders, it is becoming increasingly clear that advertisers will need to look at alternative ways of engaging with their customers."

Before joining MPG in 1996, Canter spent eight years at Young & Rubicam.
