Jamkit was chosen to increase user interactivity on the CLIC Sargent . The redesign will feature forums, online diaries and information for users, designed to cultivate an online community for parents.
CLIC Sargent plans to flag forthcoming fundraising and voluntary events on the website, which the charity has described as a vital tool in generating new donors.
Seb Bacon, technical director at Jamkit, said: "The plans for the website are ambitious, particularly around user interaction and innovative fundraising ideas, and we are really excited about meeting the challenge."
Jamkit, which was founded in 2000, specialises in providing internet support for a number of charities and NGOs, including Cancerbackup, Carers UK, Arthritis Care, and HelpAge International.
Sarah Talbot Williams, director of communications at CLIC Sargent, said: "Our key focus is on providing the support that each individual child and family needs after receiving a cancer diagnosis.
"It is vital that our website provides users with up-to-the minute information and support for users. The new site will also provide both our existing and potential new supporters a source of interactive information highlighting ways they can get involved with CLIC Sargent."
