Camden Lock Live, a one-day event taking place on 12 July, will include a mix of global street food, live music and DJs, as well as A Sailor Jerry cocktail bar in a boat, a selection of Camden Lock’s stalls, and live entertainment including interactive workshops.
Chin Chin Labs will be operating a liquid nitrogen ice cream parlour, and Hola Paella, newcomers to Camden Lock, will be running its Spanish tapas bar. Aussie Coffee shop Ruby Dock and the Mighty Fine Chocolate and Fudge shop, will also be present at Camden Lock Live.
Jackie Clode-Dickens, marketing director of Camden Lock Market, said: "We are so excited to be pulling Camden Lock Live together. Everyone involved has come up with new and exciting ideas on how to participate and it’s going to be a true celebration and representation of all that is great and original about Camden Lock Market."
The line-up of entertainment will include bands, DJs and live music including headline act Marcus Foster. Stages will appear in the West Yard area by the Lock.
Pongathon will also be supplying ping pong tables, music, social tournaments, exhibition games from the company’s professionals, alongside a Pongbot challenge, which involves a ping pong robot that will take on all participants.
Other activities set to take place during Camden Lock Live will include contemporary design organisation We Make London, which will be choosing ten of their best independent designers to showcase their creations during the event.
The company will also be running its pop-up shop in the West Yard holding free workshops for festival goers to create their own feather headdresses.
Music-based stalls and shops will also be open throughout the day, as well as tarot card readers, and bookshops and special literary guests who will do live readings.
Juggling store Oddballs will be running free workshops teaching juggling, and swing bands with dancers will be performing around the Lock.
