Callcredit Marketing Solutions picks up Allianz data supply brief

LONDON - Allianz, the global financial services company, has appointed Callcredit Marketing Solutions as its primary data supplier to help support its long-term pricing and marketing strategy.

Callcredit won the business following a pitch, and will now be responsible for providing Allianz with the Cameo consumer segmentation suite, as well as a range of demographic indicators and credit risk variables at post sector, postcode and individual level.

Allianz will use this information to develop "pricing for risk" policies, in conjunction with customer acquisition and retention.

The appointment was made by Michael Blackburn, the head of pricing development for Allianz Retail.

Blackburn said: "It's the first time that Allianz has used such detailed marketing data within the pricing process, so this is a really interesting test bed for us.

Our initial investigations illustrated that these datasets were extremely powerful in predicting risk cost, so we look forward to implementing them into our pricing strategies going forward."
