LONDON - Cadbury is relaunching its Curly Wurly, Fudge, Chomp and Freddo chocolate bars with new packaging designs.

Cadbury gives Curly Wurly, Fudge, Chomp and Freddo a comforting retro look

The new designs, created by Slice Design, were inspired by the brands' orginal looks. Fudge is the oldest brand having been launched in 1948. Curly Wurly was then introduced in 1971, Freddo in 1973 and finally Chomp in 1989.

Cadbury hopes the nostalgic packaging will do well during the recession 'as they will remind us of the days when life was easier'.

The agency had been hired to the account earlier this year following a pitch process against two undislclosed agencies.
