CACI launches 40m-strong consumer file Ocean

LONDON – CACI has partnered with 20 data companies to launch Ocean, a national consumer file that offers 500 lifestyle variables for 40m people in the UK.

The file offers 500 lifestyle variables including names, addresses, consumer classifications, email addresses, phone numbers and lifestyle details for 40m people -- bringing more than 100m records together from a range of data companies including Transactis.

Ocean will combine transactional information with lifestyle questionnaire response, market research surveys and modelled information to provide a view of the consumer marketplace.

Tracy Weir, vice-president of CACI's Consumer Marketing Group, said Ocean would be a valuable tool for any business wishing to gain a better understanding of customer behaviour.

"Finding relevant and in-depth information on today's consumer has forced many companies to source data from a range of suppliers. This can be a costly and time consuming process, which eats into often already stretched marketing budgets.

"With the development of Ocean, CACI has done all the hard work and brought together information from a range of leading sources into one package," she said.
