Cochrane will leave Channel 4 after helping to plan the reorganisation of the marketing, communications and audiences department that currently employs 170 people.

She has been at the broadcaster for 10 years, during which time she has overseen the development of Channel 4's multi-platform products including E4, More4, 4 Music and 4oD.

Last Friday (10 October), Media Week revealed Channel 4 would not be going ahead with its digital radio plans.

On September 23, Channel 4 announced it was to make up to 150 staff redundant as part of a cost-cutting drive across all departments aimed at saving up to £100m over the next two years.
