BusinessWeek sets up network

LONDON - BusinessWeek is to launch a social networking site aimed at UK bloggers.

BusinessWeek sets up network

The site, Business Exchange, can be accessed from Businessweek.com and will target UK and global businessmen.

The site allows users to create, find and track business topics that are relevant to them and access, share, save and add links to articles.

Additionally, visitors, who can access the site free of charge, can communicate with key industry figures, BusinessWeek writers and other professionals about business issues that are relevant to them.

The UK accounts for about one in three BusinessWeek European users, with the UK number one in terms of generating traffic on the site.

BusinessWeek claims it is presenting a unique offering to the marketplace, although it will have to compete against the likes of business-oriented social network Xing, which claims to have more than six million members.
