The latest ad, "runner", has been developed by WWAV Rapp Collins North and follows "Mrs Hunter" and "clocks", also developed by the agency.
Whereas the two previous ads took cancer as their central theme and had female central characters, the new ad will feature a male runner and concentrates more on the practical benefits of Bupa cover such as choice of consultant, timing and location of treatment.
The ad runs for 60 seconds and follows an early morning runner through various urban environments as he explains: "When you pay for the best, you expect the best, whether it's running shoes or health insurance... that's why I've got Bupa -- and why I expect a lot from them."
The runner goes on to say that he can not afford the time to wait when he is ill. "Plus, I want to choose my consultant not just be told who I'm going to see -- and that's what I can do with Bupa."
The runner goes on to espouse the benefits of BUPA cover, ending "so what would I say my cover gives me? Control".
A voiceover then encourages viewers to "take more control of your health. Call Bupa now on 0800 600 500".
Throughout the ad, key facts are flashed on the screen, such as members having access to 19,000 consultants in the UK and offering the choice of up to 450 hospitals in the UK.
The ad will run across a mix of terrestrial and satellite channels and according to Bupa is intended to have a stronger male bias than and appeal to people who are very demanding about the quality and speed of the healthcare they receive.
Matthew Gully at Bupa said: "We are confident the no-nonsense approach will demonstrate that BUPA provides access to the appropriate healthcare for the target audience."
