Once registered as a 'True Fan', visitors have the opportunity to win a four pack of Budweiser, and can then go on to win World Cup tickets by stating exactly what they would be prepared to do in order to earn them. Answers will be judged on commitment, creativity and sheer ability to blag, and users will be able to vote on the winner from a list of finalists selected by Budweiser.
The 'Svenslator' features a Sven-Goran Eriksson lookalike who teaches football fans their favourite chants in Japanese, including "You're not singing any more" and "Who ate all the pies?" and, of course, "Another Budweiser please".
The site, developed in conjunction with Euro RSCG Circle, gives drinkers further chances to win VIP passes to Glastonbury, V2002, Gatecrasher, Bud House Parties and Mardis Gras in the 'True Fan' section.
Fans will also be able to download various files in the Sounds page, including the roar of a 20,000-strong crowd every time they shut down their machine, or a Budweiser being cracked open when new email arrives.
Randall Blackford, Budweiser UK's marketing director, said: "We want to make sure our great prizes and giveaways go to 'True' Budweiser fans, while keeping them up to date on all the premier sports and music events we're sponsoring this year -- including the 2002 Fifa World Cup, Glastonbury, V2002 and, of course, the great Bud House Parties. The site will be updated regularly to keep Budweiser drinkers connected with their favourite beer and give them a reason to come back to the site on a regular basis."
