BTOpenworld cuts jobs

BT has confirmed that it is to cut about 200 jobs at its internet division, BTOpenworld.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - BT has confirmed that it is to cut about 200 jobs at its internet division, BTOpenworld.

The division, which operates BT鈥檚 narrowband and broadband internet services, reported an operating loss of £107m in the third quarter and has attracted only 15,000 broadband subscribers.

Employees who lose their jobs will be offered jobs elsewhere in BT.
