The ad campaign, created by Clemmow Hornby Inge, features the two 70s computer whizz characters from the launch campaign, Jimmy and Mikey, and breaks this Friday. The voiceover on the three new ads is by the 'Men Behaving Badly' star Caroline Quentin. A fourth television ad, along with radio, will appear early next year.
The ad promotes BT Yahoo! Anytime and BT Yahoo! Pay-as-you-go, which will replace current BT Openworld services. The company is starting the process of switching over 1.4m narrowband customers.
Mark Opzoomer, managing director and regional vice-president of Yahoo! Europe, said: "Dial-up users are a key part of the internet demographic and with this launch we're addressing their needs to create an unrivalled internet offering in the UK."
BT Yahoo! internet offers users the chance to make default pages for up to 11 members of one household. The pages start to learn customer preferences and recommend appropriate content.
Duncan Ingram, managing director of BT Openworld, said: "With BT Yahoo! internet, we're delivering an unparalleled level of integration, personalisation and compelling content to all our customers. We are setting the standard in the ISP marketplace."
BT revealed yesterday that it aimed to give every house in the UK access to broadband internet by 2005, a figure it said could be achieved if the government and industry pulled together.
The September internet connectivity figures, published by the government, found that 4.1% more people were connected to the internet than at the same time last year.
It also found that broadband connections now account for 19% of the market, compared with 8.4% last year.
