The service, badged as BT TV App Extra, arrives alongside a revamp of the BT TV app that allows customers to download and access content from the BT TV Store on-the-go for the first time.
Existing users of the BT TV app will receive the new feature via an app update on their device. BT TV App Extra is available for an optional £5 extra on a monthly rolling contract.
BT’s plans to make its content more widely accessible include taking the BT Sport line-up onto Sky’s streaming service Now TV in the future through a deal agreed back in December 2017.
