BSkyB shortlists four agencies for £5m Sky Bet account

LONDON – BSkyB has shortlisted four agencies for its Sky Bet £5m advertising account, including the incumbent Phillipson Ward Longworth Camponi.

Sky has invited Mother and Farm to compete for the Sky Bet betting and gaming business alongside HHCL/Red Cell, which holds the Sky creative account.

The pitch is being handled by the AAR, which will help cut the list down to a final shootout between two agencies.

The review comes only five months after Leeds-based Phillipson Ward was appointed to handle the account alongside new-media agency DS Emotion.

The result of the review will be some higher profile advertising to raise awareness of the service, which is open to customers via fixed-line telephone and mobile phones, online and on interactive television via Sky Active.

The creative review does not affect the planning and buying, which is held by Universal McCann.
