British American Tobacco names group marketing director

LONDON - British American Tobacco's (BAT) Western Europe regional director, Jean-Marc Levy,has been appointed group marketing director.

Levy will take on the role following the retirement of Jimmi Rembiszewski on 1 January 2010. In the interim, Levy will work as deputy group marketing director from 1 October.

Beginning as consumer marketing manager in Switzerland in 2003, Levy has held a number of marketing and general management positions in his six years with the company.

Jack Bowles, managing director of BAT Malaysia since 2007, will replace Levy in his previous role as regional director. Bowles joined the company in 2004 and became chairman of BAT France in 2005.
