Britvic's Tango is running a press campaign warning consumers ‘not to eat orange snow'. The ads, which appeared in this morning's Metro, are part of a flurry of activity by marketers intended to take advantage of consumers' good mood following yesterdays ‘snow day'.

Elsewhere, Innocent Drinks has set up a asking consumers to send in pictures of their snowmen. The best picture will be awarded a case of Innocent drinks. Entries so far include a ‘Snobama' and the Innocent team's best efforts in their office car park.

Several brands also ran email marketing campaigns, including Blockbuster, which encouraged snowed-in consumers to rent a film. Fashion brands including Dorothy Perkins also got in on the act, suggesting stranded consumers use their unexpected free time to indulge in some online shopping.
