Watch brand and event partner Swatch will be taking over a whole floor at the venue’s car park during Parkour Ride, which is taking place this Saturday (4 October) at Tobacco Dock, London. The company plans to erect a video screen and chill-out area for guests, as well as selling it products and merchandise in a dedicated retail area.
Bodybuilding company USN will also be hosting a pop-up in the riders’ pit, providing nutritional information to riders, as well as an expo area for spectators. Other companies hosting mini expos include bike firms Knog, Yess BMX, Bear Bike and Crucial BMX.
Event partner Giant Docklands, an east London cycling store, will be taking over the entire riders’ pit at the event, where all participant preparation takes place.
James Pope, managing director of Face Partnership, said: "The announcement of Giant Docklands as a partner at Parkour Ride is really exciting. Not only is there a local bond between the store and the event, but Giant Docklands are well known for providing top-quality cycling expertise and equipment.
"It is a challenging circuit so I’m sure the participants will be grateful for the support and service that Giant will provide in order to ride the best race they can."
The Red Bull Music Academy will be bringing DJ K13RY to the event, while Death By Burrito will supplying street food. More than 100 amateur riders are expected to attend the event to race against the Parkour Ride pros.
The race will see road, fixed-gear, BMX or mountain bike riders take part in a time trial with the aim of qualifying for an elimination tournament against pros such as BMX World Champion Liam Phillips. It will take place in a specially-designed circuit in the venue's multi storey car park, and also promise unique audio and visual experiences.
