The festival, which includes a live stadium show, will be hosted by the full Top Gear team: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig.
This new format will include more visitor interaction, its first street circuit from which visitors will be able to see the Stig do a number of power laps and head to head racing. It will feature FMX bikes, donutting and flaming rally cars and stunt manoeuvres by the Top Gear Live Stunt Driving Team.
Clarkson said: "We travel all over the world with Top Gear Live events and, wherever we are, we always say the audiences are amazing. But South Africa is different because when we say it there, we really mean it. That’s why I can’t wait to share our Top Gear Festival with the friendliest, most enthusiastic people on the planet."
Last years version of the event, which was held in Johannesburg, featured racing legends such as David Coulthard, Stirling Moss, Derek Bell, Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz.
