BR Video: Ryanair's reputation takes another hit

LONDON - As Ryanair considers making some of its passengers stand during flights, some members of the public interviewed in the latest Brand Republic video believe the airline's cost-cutting tactics are "ridiculous" and "horrific" and are putting them off flying with the company -- watch it now.

In recent months Ryanair has taken no-frills to new levels by planning to introduce a and to .

This week it was also revealed that and seat belts to squeeze onboard up to 30% more passengers.

Earlier this year it was confirmed that from October, the airline is abolishing check-in facilities and will instead demand that all .

Many people interviewed in the Brand Republic video felt that charging passengers to use the toilet was "ridiculous" and "horrific".

One person said: "I think they charge enough for the flights anyway so you shouldn't have to pay extra to use the toilet."

Another said: "I just think it should be part and parcel of flying."

However, one person told our interviewer: "If it makes the fares cheaper, then I don't see a problem with it -- as long as it's not a long haul flight."

Opinions were divided over whether the changes were enough to put people off flying with Ryanair.

Some said it wouldn't stop them using the airline while others said they would not fly with Ryanair if the changes were implemented.

One person said: "It wouldn't stop me using Ryanair but I just think it's a cheap way of getting extra money, so it doesn't improve my perception of the company."

Another said: "It makes me think they're an amateur company."
