Sales and special offers are no longer restricted to specific times of year as retailers continue to struggle to lure customers. Brand Republic took to the streets to find out if consumers' attitudes to sales have changed.
Although most people interviewed said that they like sales and that they help to get people spending, some thought that the year round sales dampened the excitement of bargain shopping.
A few people said they would only be tempted by sales in shops they would usually visit while others felt that misleading offers could get people into more debt.
