BP to broadcast motoring advice

BP is funding a half-hour TV programme advising motorists how to drive more economically.

Drive Greener and Save Money with Quentin Willson will be hosted by the former Top Gear presenter of the title. It will be shown on Information TV and the digital channel's website over four weeks from 18 July.

The programme, in which Willson will challenge members of the public to drive as far as they possibly can on a single litre of petrol, will be promoted by a print and online campaign, created by Launch Group, including viral clips seeded on motoring websites.

BP said that the show will form the hub of a marketing campaign encouraging motorists to become more fuel-efficient.

The oil company is specifically promoting the cost advantages of its BP Ultimate range of unleaded petrol and diesel.
