Boxer invites students to create identity for Snapple

LONDON – Brand design consultancy Boxer has been named as the sponsor for the brand identity category for the 2005 D&AD Student awards.

For the category, the agency has developed a brief with drinks brand Snapple to create an identity based on the brand's ethos as an "alternative" drink.

Boxer managing director David Poole said: "We hope that using their creative skills unhindered by the usual pressures that can affect commercial design, the students will have the opportunity to create something that will bring the brand to life by positioning it as quirky, fun, unusual, humourous and natural."

The winner will win a six-month paid-for work placing at Boxer. The Birmingham-based agency counts McDonald's among its clients.
