The retailer is understood to be close to embarking on a six-figure expansion project that will include an overhaul of its boots.com transactional website over the next two years. It intends to focus on its No 7 cosmetics range to drive women to the revamped online store, with the changes intended to make it easier to buy products online.
The initiative comes just months after Boots appointed Grand Union to develop its online strategy and identify new digital opportunities. It is not known whether the agency is working with Boots on this project; Grand Union declined to comment.
