The event, which is on a mission to bring the coutryside to town, will showcase the best of British rural life and will feature a number of experiences for visitors, including food and drink demonstrations.

The Country Kitchen Demonstration Cookery Theatre will feature food writer Tom Parker-Bowles, cheesemaker Alex James and chefs Rachel Green and Mike Robinson, among others, sharing their knowledge and skills, from cooking game to smoking fish. Ben Fogle, president of the Country Life Fair, will also make an appearance.

Caterer Blue Strawberry will be hosting a number of pop-up eateries on the site, serving dishes such as guinea fowl fricassée and venison ‘posh dogs’. Visitors can also try a bespoke Country Life Fair cocktail from Mr Fogg’s of Mayfair and take part in a gin-tasting experience. The 'Ginkhana' will see visitors invited to sample a range of different gins and makes notes on tasting cards.

A launch party for the Country Life Fair took place in March at Claridges Hotel in London, attracting 700 guests, who sampled inventive cocktails from Mr Fogg's British sparkling wines as they toured exhibits including a zebra from rocking horse makers Stevenson Brothers.
