Bonnet steps up to take CEO role at Tequila\London

LONDON – Tequila\London has promoted Tim Bonnet from managing director to chief executive officer.

Bonnet has been with Tequila since 1998 following a merger with Option One. As CEO, Bonnet's new remit will be working with the management team to build on new-business wins and oversee the portfolio of existing clients.

As managing director he was previously responsible for leading client teams including HP, The Army and O2.

A spokeswoman for Tequila said that the agency would not be hiring a new managing director, but two additional managing partners would be added to the team.

Prior to Bonnet's appointment, Tom Wass, Tequila\Worldwide president international, had been serving as interim CEO of the agency following the departure of Paul Biggins in August last year. Biggins left the agency for personal reasons and is currently not working in the industry.

According to Wass: "Having worked with Tim for the past six years, I know he will continue to make a tremendous contribution to driving the agency forward and building on its continued success."
