Bollore nominates Aegis board candidates

Havas chairman Vincent Bollore has put forward two external candidates for next week's Aegis board elections at its AGM.

Roger Hatchuel, former owner of the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, and Philippe Germond, a former president of French mobile firm Alcatel, are now in the running.
Aegis said it received a notice yesterday evening from Securities Services Nominees Limited, which it believes is a nominee shareholder acting on behalf of Group Bollore, which currently owns 27.56% of Aegis’ shares.
Aegis said its board would give appropriate consideration to the notice and make a further announcement in due course.
The notice was delivered on the deadline for nominations for the board elections, to be held at the Aegis AGM on 24 May, for which five directors are up for re-election to the 11-member board.
