Bollore may call for shareholder meet

Vincent Bollore has admitted that he has little chance of securing seats on the board of Aegis, but hinted that he could call for a new shareholder meeting if he doesn't get his way.

Speaking at the Havas AGM on Monday, Bollore said: "We don't have much hope of being appointed." He then went on to point out that British law allows shareholders owning more than 5% of a company to call for a new shareholder meeting - Bollore owns 29% of Aegis.

The comments echo those made in an interview with The Sunday Times, where Bollore vowed to hire lobbying firms and explain to shareholders why he should have representation.
