Lumi provides a selection of apps powered for iOS and Android devices. The ‘app ready’ service at BMA House will be available for 50-plus delegates to share event information, capture quality data and insight from attendees, integrate and interact with social media and generate sponsorship revenue.
Rowan Bennett, sales and marketing manager at BMA House, said: "We are embracing the digital culture. Our new relationship with Lumi and our approach to using iPads is key in supporting the new generation of event organisers moving towards a more interactive style of conferencing.
"We are also keen to encourage sustainability during events where ever possible."
Peter Eyre, UK managing director of Lumi, added: "We have seen a dramatic rise in the use of tablets/iPads at corporate events. We appreciate the need to create a fully featured experience that incorporates social media, photos, videos, presentations and more so that participants will be fully engaged throughout the entire event life cycle."
He explained industry research has revealed 64% of corporates said they already have, or are considering creating a mobile app for their events, compared with just 23% in 2010.
Apps available at BMA House include Lumi Show, designed to provide accurate and up-to-date event information before, during and after events, and Lumi Join, which helps manage and create more engaging meetings, through real-time messaging and polling.
