Blyk supports Bacardi B-Live Dance event

LONDON - Blyk, the free ad-funded mobile phone network, has signed a commercial deal with Bacardi, in which it will offer promotional support at tomorrow's Bacardi B-Live dance event.

The campaign, which will be rolled out later this month, will target the roughly 100,000 members who use Blyk. Through the campaign, Bacardi members will be sent a picture message that will contain exclusive footage promoting one of the dance acts at the Bacardi B-Live event.

Subscribers will then have the option to click through to a WAP site, where they can download clips of their favourite acts.

Another feature of the campaign is Blyk's new advertiser offering, "Send to a Friend", which allows visitors to go to a WAP site to submit a friend's name and contact details, who will then be invited to join the site.

Chris Bennett, commercial director at Blyk, said: "Every element of the campaign reflects Blyk's ability to allow brands to engage with their key audience. We hope to relive the success of the last campaign."

The Barcadi B-Live event will be held at London's SE1 Club.
