Blue chips sign up to new insight benchmarking service

LONDON – Nokia, Masterfoods and Lloyds TSB are among a group of major blue-chip companies to sign up to a client-side benchmarking service introduced by Strategic Research to improve insight performance.

Blue chips sign up to new insight benchmarking service

The service, Insight Benchmarking for Excellence, is designed to help insight departments reach the highest possible standard by evaluating and improving their performance.

The service works by insight departments and their internal clients completing a series of questionnaires, which they can then measure against the industry as a whole.

As more companies come on board, an increasingly detailed picture will emerge, with a corresponding increase in the breadth and depth of benchmarking.

The first set of results will be fed back to IBEX subscribers this month.

Steve Wills, Strategic Research managing director, said: "Proving the value of insight and its contribution to the bottom line has always been a headache for client-side insight departments.

"Insight is a strategic asset and should be managed as such. IBEX provides clients with their first real opportunity to prove the value and ROI of insight and raise its profile at senior management level."

The launch of IBEX follows the publication by Strategic Research earlier this year of The Guide to Best Practice in Customer Insight Management and Communication.

Strategic Research was founded in 1989 and has won contracts with major clients clients including Coca-Cola, Tesco, Vodafone and Nationwide.
