Cool Infographics
Being a creative, I love seeing how different people go about making information look interesting. It can miss the mark a few times, but overall Randy Krum's site selects some great examples to get the creative buds going.
Motiongrapher
If I wasn't doing digital, I'd be doing motion graphics, it's like doing magic without the broomsticks. This site has plenty of fantastic work and related info.
Adverblog
A great source of digital marketing campaigns lovingly covered by the hard-working Martina and her co-contributors. It's been going five years, and is as useful as ever.
Scamp
I often feel that people who work in traditional advertising occupy a parallel universe to me. BBH creative director Simon Veksner's blog confirms this for me, but at least makes me understand them all a bit better.
Lifehacker
This covers so many things! Definitely for geeks, I used to be a bit embarrassed to read it. Still, I've learnt to live with myself, and have hacked my life thoroughly.
Jay is Games
It's no secret I love games, always have, always will, and I love making them too. I have a lot of respect for all the indie studios doing great work. Jay and his crew cover this active market meticulously.
I Watch Stuff
I studied film at uni, so I know it's not easy to make a movie. That said, most films are still trash. This site tells it like it is; irreverent, cynical and an entertaining read.
AdScam/The Horror!
I'll let George Parker who runs this sum it up; "A well intentioned rant about the state of advertising, with particular emphasis on Big Dumb Agencies (BDAs). Because, no matter how bad you think it is, it's actually a great deal worse!"
