Farming and Countryside Education (Face), the charity that specialises in educating children about where food comes from, has hired comedian Bill Bailey to front its first ad campaign.

The viral ads, by Grey London, feature the star travelling to the countryside with a group of inner-city schoolchildren to explain where products such as bacon originate.

The charity's programme operates with the approval of local and national authorities, educating pupils both in the classroom and on trips.

Face has already worked with Waitrose, McDonald's, Muller and Bayer, among other brands, and wants further commercial partners to fund awareness-raising campaigns.

Bill Graham, executive director at Face, said: "Partnering with Face can enable brands to build positive associations of charitable work within the community while actively engaging with school children."
