Big Brother's Alex booted out for gangster threats

LONDON - Channel 4 has removed 'Big Brother' contestant and troublemaker Alexandra De Gale from the house after she threatened fellow housemates and their families with punishment from her 'gangster friends'.

Ofcom has received over 1500 complaints about this series of 'Big Brother', the majority of which have been related to Alexandra's behaviour.

In a conversation with albino Darnell, after Alex found out she had been nominated for eviction by her housemates, she said: "I've got a very, very, very strong team outside the house, strong, so solid, strong. I look forward to whatever the result. If I get out first, I get out, make the plans.

"But like I say, I get to go out, see everyone's friends, I get to see their family. I get to do the shit that I wanna do. Pow, pow, pow."

About 10 minutes earlier she had said: "I just can't wait to see my mans and them and see what their plans are, who they got -- I'm not talking about those mans, I'm talking about my gangster friends. They got some instructions to follow out."

Due to Alex's removal from the house Channel 4 has cancelled Friday night's eviction in which Alexandra and Mario would have faced the public vote. Alex received nine votes and Mario received seven from fellow housemates.

Alex had already received two warnings from Big Brother about her intimidating behaviour before she was removed.

One incident involved the 23-year-old accounts executive yelling at a fellow housemate because they burnt the chips for the group dinner, while another time she exploded at Rex for touching her lighter.

In last night's programme she told Somalian Muslim housemate Mohammed that he was a disgrace for cross-dressing at his birthday party.

She said: "He's someone I'm supposed to look up to for guidance and he's prancing around in a fucking skirt. First and foremost I am a Muslim, it's bad enough that I drink and smoke and come on TV seen doing so."

Angela Jain, the head of Channel 4 and E4, said: "Alex's comments will be widely interpreted as having been intended to intimidate.

"Other housemates have said they found her comments to be threatening and we believe that is a reasonable conclusion for them to have reached given the way Alex has behaved previously."

Last year Emily Parr was removed from the house for using a racially offensive word to a black housemate.
