Promotional staff from Red Group collected photos of fans outside the ground ahead of the Manchester United versus Everton game, directing them to a Betfair Football Roadshow where they could take part in several football skills challenges, put on by Global Games.
The photos were then put into a draw with one lucky fan winning the opportunity to have their face printed on the perimeter boards and interview backdrops during the game and post-match interviews.
The winner was also treated to prime hospitality tickets and took part in a half-time skills challenge for the chance to win a signed Manchester United shirt, while Betfair Cheerleaders from Leeds Metropolitan University put on a show.
"Football fans are some of the most dedicated in world sport, and to be able to offer them something as exciting and unique as this is one of the reasons we partnered with Manchester United," said Betfair global brand and marketing director Oscar Nieboer.
"Betfair's initiative is a great one, acknowledging the fans and offering them the chance to be part of a world football first. It's something we're delighted to be part of." added Manchester United commercial director Richard Arnold.
The activity will be repeated on 12 December when Manchester United play host to Aston Villa.
