Bestival targets music fans with iPhone app

LONDON - Bestival, the three-day music festival held on the Isle of Wight, has launched a dedicated app on iTunes featuring music, games and a site map.

The 59p app was created by creative marketing agency, Think Espionage Group, in conjunction with Thumbspark, the software developer.

The game, which is called, The Bestival Decider, helps festival goers decide how to spend their time at Bestival with the roll of a dice.

It is introduced by Radio 1 DJ and Bestival founder Rob da Bank, who also contributes to other features on the app.

He said: "We're ready to take Bestival dancing, kicking and screaming into the 21st century technological cyberspace with our own amazing application for the iPhone."

The festival has been held annually since 2004 in a small country park called Robin Hill and is an off-shoot of da Bank's Sunday Best record label and club nights.
