What was the event? The Fiat 500X launch with Dynamo
What was on the menu? Polenta with pecorino cheese and caramelised red onions, lobster and crayfish tail frittata with a garlic and saffron aioli, and carpaccio of beef on crostini with parmesan, rocket salad and a drizzle of truffle oil.
Why was it awesome? The caterer served up food to celebrity names, journalists and bloggers at a hi-tech launch starring illusionist Dynamo. Damian Clarkson, managing director at The London Kitchen, says: "It was a one-day set up so were privy to some of the magic that Dynamo wowed the guests with."
Harbour & Jones
What was the event? Tour of the Senses evening at RSA House
What was on the menu? Food stalls designed to stimulate all five senses. A chef hand-scraped a melting Raclette cheese from its stand and drizzled it onto a plate of charcuterie at ‘Smell’, and guests could listen to high and low pitches through headphones as they ate in the ‘Sound’ zone. The event also showcased a 3D chocolate printer.
Why was it awesome? Lucy Mears, sales and marketing manager at Harbour & Jones, says: "This event allowed us to show off our creative abilities in so many different ways. What we enjoy most is delivering concepts that are unique and extraordinary, and this event definitely did that."
Tobacco Dock Food
What was the event? Clarks seasonal launch at the Tobacco Dock
What was on the menu? A traditional British picnic and seafood from food stations made out of shoe boxes, deck chairs and rustic wood, complete with a shoe inspired ice sculpture. Runny scotch eggs, cured salmon Earl Grey Crème Brûlée and Eton Mess.
Why was it awesome? Alex Campbell, sales and marketing manager at Tobacco Dock Food, says: "This was one of our favourite events this year due to the creativity behind the branding into the stations. The shoe boxes, tree stumps, gingham cloths and even an old tea dresser all added to the overall feel of the event."
