Ben & Jerry's relives 30 years in birthday ad

LONDON - Ben & Jerry's is launching a cinema campaign in the UK, which crams the company's entire history into a 30-second ad, to coincide with the end of its third decade in business.

The spot, created by Fallon London, rolls out in 2,300 cinemas in the UK and Ireland this weekend. You can view the ad .

It unfolds in the style of a rolling photo album and features Ben & Jerry's own memorable moments including their early days in Vermont, attending ice-cream school and the first "Free Cone Day".

The album also features their infamous "Cowmobile", which delivers ice-cream around the US, and other still images directly from Ben & Jerry's archive.

A comical US voiceover guides viewers through the album, which ends with the strapline, "Ben & Jerry's, to know it is to love it".

The company is considering launching the ad in Europe at a later date.
